Both boys are Sleeping and all is well

The house is quiet except for the 

fire in the stove 

& the sound of my fingers touching the keys as softly as possible. 

These moments are rare and I will spend this moment catching up from a lovely weekend spent with the men in my life. (and dog)

It has been sometime since I've last posted and there is a lot of catching up to do. 

It feels good to be back!

Decided this morning to bring along my camera for the drive to bring little man to school.   

I came across this beautiful field with glowing cat tails.

when I returned home I was lucky enough to stare at this....

My Maternity Photo Shoot

My hubby made sure to capture our big belly moment.

I believe I found my future photography assistant should I ever need one.
We strolled down the old railroad tracks on the East End in Portland

& 

followed that with a Peanut Butter & Jelly Picnic.....a delicious family outing.

A Maternity Photo Shoot for my Dear Friend Heidi

Heidi had decided I would be her family photographer the year her daughter turned 1. 

I believe she made this decision on the fact that she really liked my paintings & assumed that an artist in one way may be an artist in many ways. I've been her daughters photographer for 4 years now capturing the start to each year and i look forward to doing the same for the little boy who is due to arrive very very soon.

Heidi, thank you for guiding me onto a beautiful path in more ways than one.

Ann's Maternity Photo Shoot

I think I found something I REALLY

enjoy doing.

 

Had a lot of fun photographing Ann. 

She talked her way through

the entire session which taught me the importance of taking continuous photos 

as I had to catch the brief moments 

of stillness in between.

With her permission I might put up a bloopers post as there were some 

fantastically funny photos taken during the shoot.

Washing the Sand off the Shells is Hard Work (Such hard work that my son thought it wise to cool off by dipping his feet with shoes and socks still on into the bowl)

Still Cleaning.....

All Clean & Awfully Pretty!

Drill a hole through each shell.......

...and tie a rope through the holes....

.....placing knots wherever it just feels right to hold the shells in place

There is very little that is more BEAUTIFUL than what you can find in NATURE
